Two Ways to Play. One Complete System.
The Todpoles app has two types of games. Both feature Toto the bear. Both are designed without timers, scores, or pressure.
Digital Games
No cards needed. Tap-based games that children can play independently on screen. Available from the moment the app is activated.
Hide & Seek · Sound Safari · Counting Bubbles · Trace the Letter · Missing Letter · Magic Colour Canvas · Shape Shadows · Match the Following · Hindi Bubbles
Each game is matched to a learning area — letter recognition, phonics, counting, colour identification, Hindi script, and fine motor skills.
Bear Scan Games
Physical cards + camera. Toto guides your child through a challenge, then waits. The child finds the right card and holds it up to the phone. The app recognises it in real time and Toto reacts.
Show Me · First Letter · Missing Letter · Word Builder · Feed the Bear
This is where the physical cards become essential. The camera uses on-device ML to identify each card — no internet required.

How Bear Scan Games Work
Toto sets a challenge. Your child finds the right card from their set and holds it up to the phone’s camera. The app identifies the card instantly — no internet, no QR codes, just on-device recognition. Then Toto reacts.
Show Me
Toto says “Show me B!” — child finds and holds up the B card. Builds instant letter and number recognition.
First Letter
A picture of an object appears. Child holds up the card with its first letter. Connects sounds to written letters — the foundation of phonics.
Missing Letter
A word with a gap appears (e.g. C_T). Child holds up the card that completes it. Builds phonemic awareness and letter-in-word recognition.
Word Builder
Toto says “Spell CAT!” — child holds up C, then A, then T one at a time. Introduces spelling, letter sequencing, and early word formation.
Feed the Bear
Toto is hungry. Child holds up any correct card five times to feed him. Pure recognition fluency — fast, fun, and deeply motivating for young children.
Not Just Flash Cards. A Learning System.
Works Without a Screen
Use the cards independently — no phone required. The app extends learning, it doesn’t replace the cards. Parents control exactly when the screen comes in.
Recognition Without Pressure
No timers. No scores. No red marks. When a child gets it wrong, Toto reacts with a silly face and tries again — mistakes become funny, not discouraging.
Bilingual from Day One
Hindi cards are included — not an add-on. Both English and Hindi content works with Bear Scan games. Built for how Indian families actually raise their children.
₹999. One-Time. No Subscription Required.

Flash Cards for Kids — Why Physical Cards Still Matter
Todpoles flash cards are designed around a simple insight: young children learn best when they can touch, hold, and manipulate what they are studying. The physical act of picking up a card, looking at it, and making a decision about it creates stronger memory pathways than tapping a screen alone. The Todpoles system keeps the card at the centre — the app amplifies it, never replaces it.
The set covers four subject areas: English alphabets (A–Z with phonics), numbers and counting (1–20), colours and shapes, and Hindi alphabets with vocabulary. All cards work with the free Todpoles app’s Bear Scan feature — on-device machine learning identifies each card through the phone’s camera in real time, with no internet connection required. This powers five interactive game types: Show Me, First Letter, Missing Letter, Word Builder, and Feed the Bear — each targeting a different reading and recognition skill.
The ₹999 card box is a one-time purchase and includes the canvas carry pouch, panda phone stand, and a QR code that activates the full app. An optional subscription (₹149/month) adds monthly stories in English and Hindi, printable worksheets, and new games. Available across India through the Todpoles app, Amazon, and Flipkart.
